For over 35 years, Craig Bond has been leading the St Helena High School Jazz Choir. During that time, with the passion, desire and dedication of its members, the Jazz Choir has participated in over 31 competitions between California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Canada, bringing home 26 first place and 5 gold medal sweepstakes awards in total. It is because of these continual first place achievements that the jazz choir has been given invitations to perform in Europe on 10 occasions. In July 2010, the Jazz Choir will once again travel to France and Spain to perform. With the increase in costs this year along with the downturn in the economy, the Jazz Choir has implemented numerous fund raising efforts to help defray the costs. The Napa Valley Coffee Roasting Company in their on going efforts to give back to the community, have graciously agreed to help in our fundraising drive by producing a special “Jazz Blend” coffee. They have generously offered to give the Jazz Choir 20% of the profits on the “Jazz Blend” sales from January through March.
